Laverne Gervais

Laverne Gervais

Laverne Gervais has been working in HIV/AIDS for 4.5 years predominately with Indigenous women living with the virus. She has coordinated Ka Ni Kanichihk's Aboriginal Women Responding to the HIV/AIDS Crisis and currently manages the Manitoba Mino Pimatisiwin Model of STBBI Care project. Laverne has participated and received HIV research training through Visioning Health Winnipeg and CHIWOS MB focusing on Indigenous women’s health. In addition to research training, Laverne has also participated in CAAN's Community Readiness Assessment Training and HIV is Not A Crime Advocacy Training with the Canadian HIV AIDS Legal Network. Through Ka Ni Kanichihk, she is also involved in the Manitoba Collective Impact Network.
