Upcoming closures, researcher congrats and kudos, and a new data set profile.

RDC Closure

The RDC will be closed from Monday March 17th to Friday March 21st, due to the transition to the vRDC. 

We apologize for the inconvenience.

 

Saturday Hours - On Demand

We will be offering Saturday hours this month, Saturday, March 8th - 12pm to 4pm. We will be open on an 'appointment' basis, only if requested. Please check the online booking system for offered the offered Saturday date this month.

 

Researcher Congrats & Kudos

Congrats to Oliver Loertscher, who was offered at job at the Conference Board of Canada. He started his new position as a Senior Economist this week!

And congratulations to Gum-Ryeong Park, who was offered a faculty position as an Assistant Professor at the Division of Health Policy and Management, Korea University, in the Republic of Korea. She has plans to conduct research using RDC with collaborators here.

 

New data sets at the RDC: 

Canadian Health Survey on Children and Youth (CHSCY) linked to DAD and NACRS

The Canadian Health Survey on Children and Youth (CHSCY) linked to the Discharge Abstract Database (DAD) and the National Ambulatory Care is now available.

The purpose of this data integration project is to enhance the analytical and research value of the CHSCY files by including information from the DAD and the NACRS. Researchers will use the linked dataset to explore issues that have an impact on the health of children and youth and conduct a variety of analyses using acute and ambulatory care data.
